Here’s a fun project I just finished. “Gravity” is from the 1st RiverMaya record which started out as a riff and a set of lyrics that I wrote and it ended up as one of 2 songs that was borne out of a group collaboration.
This video was shot with a GoPro as I recorded the parts. Here’s the list of gear used:
2005 Gibson Les Paul Special double cutaway, stock, Curt Mangan Signature Strings
Here’s a demo of the DiMarzio Illuminator 7 pickups installed on my 7-string Epiphone Flying V strung with Curt Mangan Fusion Matched Signature Strings. In this video, I play with crunch tone to showcase another aspect of these Illuminators. You’ll hear the amazing clarity of these pickups in both humbucker and coil split modes.
Here’s a fun loop jam video featuring my Epiphone G-1275 double neck guitar with the Ditto X2 and MoVall pedals. The tremolo-picked lines are inspired by the rondalla, a Filipino ensemble of picked instruments. The 12- string neck works nicely for it. Enjoy, like and share!
Amptweaker sent over some of their awesome pedals a couple of weeks ago. In this video I’ll talk a little bit about their features and will play through them to sample some of the tones they’re capable of.
Spent this afternoon reconfiguring the big board. Added an Electro Harmonix Freeze pedal and replaced the TC Spark Booster with my Boss Dual Overdrive SD-2. I’ll be using this current setup with my custom Starr ODS-HRM head, which is a clone of a Dumble amp. Here’s a quick video of me running the current setup through its paces. Shot with a Canon EOS-M camera using the onboard mic.
Finally finished shooting this video demo of my live gear. A little lengthy but I give an in-depth tour into my guitar, amp and pedalboard as well as some insight into how I use them to get my tones. Enjoy!
Here’s a quick one-take jam on Jack Thammarat’s tune “On the way”. As with most of my jams, I outlined the structure and played my own thing over it. I find this approach more fun than if I were to learn the original note for note.
I used my Gibson Firebird V plugged into a Digidesign Eleven Rack recorded via USB into Sony Vegas. The video was shot with a Samsung S3 phone and later synced with the recorded audio. Enjoy!
